Products Description of Polyurethane CAS#9009-54-5
Polyurethanes (PUs) are polymers formed from isocyanates and hydroxyl compounds, featuring repeating -NHCOO- units. They exhibit excellent oil, abrasion and aging resistance, toughness and adhesion, and are insoluble in non-polar solvents. Aromatic isocyanates (more reactive than aliphatic types) dominate PU foam, coating and elastomer production, with cyclic structures providing molecular rigidity.
